Give your hitting mat a more stable, comfortable foundation with the Carl’s Golf Hitting Mat Base. Designed to help keep HotShot™ and other compatible hitting mats securely in place, it reduces unwanted movement while you swing so you can focus on your game with confidence.
Its sturdy construction also adds an extra layer of cushioning underfoot, helping create a more comfortable practice surface while providing dependable support for regular home or simulator use.
A hitting mat that creeps across a concrete garage floor ruins more than the shot. Move it half an inch and your launch monitor is reading a ball position it was never calibrated for, and the data you are practising against stops being true. This modular rubber base fixes the mat in place and keeps it there.
The weight and thickness of the rubber do the work. Sections lock together with bowtie connectors to build a platform sized to your mat, and the corner and side pieces carry a raised lip that holds the mat within the base rather than relying on friction alone.
The second job it does is comfort. A hitting mat laid straight onto concrete transmits every strike into your joints. A layer of EPDM rubber underneath absorbs a meaningful share of that, and it protects the flooring beneath at the same time - worth knowing if the simulator is going into a finished room rather than a garage.
Because it is modular rather than a single slab, it can be reconfigured, extended or picked up and moved without dismantling anything. It is designed around the Carl's Place HotShot mats but works under other hitting mats of similar size.
